About the Authors of the Books

Linda J. Albertano was born on April 17, 1942, in Moab, Utah and grew up in Denver, Colorado. Her mother was an artist and her father was a land surveyor.  Later her father abandoned the family and reported her mother falsely as a malfeasant, so the local authorities put Linda and her younger bother into repressive fundamentalist Christian homes, which created an emotional hardship for the kids for the rest of their lives.  However, because Linda had a brilliant creative mind, as well as physical beauty, and height, she would go on in life to become celebrated and honored in film, music, performance art, and poetry.  The first page of this web page shows some of the honors she received, and venues in which she appeared, in North America, Europe and Africa.  Linda’s passion was the spoken word.  When asked by her husband Frank why she became a poet, she responded in a loud voice “Because I want to be heard!”, a response borne out of the verbal repression she experienced in the foster homes as a child.  We are all lucky to have the ways she expressed herself available to us both vocally and musically.  Linda graduated from UCLA Cum Laude.  Sadly, Linda passed into the Afterlife on September 13, 2022.  We welcome you to experience Linda’s creative muses!

Frank Lutz, Linda’s companion since 1968 and husband, was born in Charleston, West Virginia, and grew up in Ohio.  His father was in the automobile industry, and his mother was a part-time artist.  He was a talented athlete and a scholar, like his father had been.  Frank’s father introduced him to poetry when he was ten years old, and only recently has Frank gone public with his poetic works. After having been injured playing football at Ohio State University, he went on to universities in France, Italy and Germany, finishing his scholastic undergraduate work at UCLA, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa scholastic society.  He was awarded a graduate Fellowship, and today sits on the Council for the UCLA Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies.  He has done academic research at the Vatican Secret Archives in Rome.  During his student years he had travelled the world’s oceans as a student oceanographer.  He also has a Commercial pilot’s license.  Frank feels that it is a privilege and an honor for him to author and to help Linda publish her works of poetry and prose in the books indicated on the opening pages of Linda’s web site. The love relationship between Frank and Linda endures forever.
